How can you be the best educator you can be?

If you want to create a brighter future for you and the children in your care, a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education is a vital investment. But navigating those first steps into university can be tricky.

With Future Tracks, it doesn’t have to be.

upskill enrich

The Future Tracks Upskill Program provides diploma-trained early childhood educators access to essential support, so you can upgrade your qualification and sharpen your educational approach.

By upskilling with Future Tracks, you’ll make your transition into university smoother, gain confidence in your practice, access exclusive leadership and professional development opportunities and a network of early childhood educators and teachers.

Our approach is tailored to you, so you can boost your skills, develop your profession, and get access to the latest insights – all while balancing your career, study and personal life.

You’ll get a range of select resources based on your distinct strengths and interests to set you up for success. These include:

Webinars

Led by industry experts, you’ll get exclusive access to our study support webinars covering everything from approaching assignments, developing innovative strategies, balancing your workload, navigating university life and much more.

Jane Dunstan, Practice Development Manager at G8 Education, a partner of Future Tracks, has said that “The study support webinars delivered by Future Tracks have helped students bridge the gap in terms of starting out with study, and navigating the challenges of study at peak points”.

According to Future Tracks mentor Carol Ruskin, the webinars also provide “a depth of knowledge to empower the teacher”, equipping students with the skills to see “what learning is occurring and how they can extend on it”.

You’ll have a world of expert data and insights, right at your fingertips.

1:1 Mentoring

Nobody knows early learning like our mentors. Hailing from across the sector with years of valuable experience, your mentor will be a leading industry expert, trained to help you on your journey.  Current mentor and experienced Early Childhood Teacher, Carol Ruskin understands the power of mentoring, it can be “inspirational because they offer their knowledge, experience and bring such enthusiasm to the profession.”

Future Tracks mentors have experienced the study journey, and know that there are ups and downs along the way. Your mentor will provide a space for you to ask questions, work through challenges and access support, all so that you can successfully complete your Bachelor Degree and step into an Early Childhood teaching role with confidence.

With your mentor by your side, you’ll be able to deepen your understanding of a range of skills from the support of vulnerable children to the development of a practice that will maximise the potential of your teaching, to result in better outcomes for all children.

Future Tracks participant and university student Sally Jackson Smith, has said that the mentoring program is a “wonderful opportunity to upskill”. “They check-in, make sure you’re okay, you can ask them any question. You sound so much more confident than you were 12 months ago. You have the support.”

With their help, you’ll be able to confidently deliver learning programs that create positive outcomes for all children.

Peer-to-peer support

The best part? You don’t have to do it alone.

Peer-to-peer support is another element of the mentoring program, that will ensure you have the right people around you as you embark on your study journey. You’ll forge new friendships and connect with like-minded peers to champion quality early learning together.

Jane Dunstan has said that “peer support has been one of the single greatest benefits identified by all students”. “There have been deep connections established and friendships forged, [enabling] students to support and encourage each other”.
